About TAG Consultancy
TAG Consultancy is a Gibraltar based firm known for local expertise, strong compliance capabilities and agile, end to end service delivery. We support a broad range of clients across sectors, including smaller financial services companies, and also manage the internal finance function for our own group of companies.
The role
You will join our Accounts team with a balanced focus on:
- Internal accounting for the TAG group of companies
- Client accounting for a portfolio of Gibraltar based entities
You will report to the Gibraltar based manager and collaborate closely with the wider team. As you progress, you will begin to liaise directly with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key responsibilities
Internal accounting for the TAG group
- Maintain day to day accounting records for the group entities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and supporting schedules.
- Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Manage intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, client account reconciliations.
- Support year end audit requirements and coordination for the group.
- Contribute to strengthening internal controls, processes and reporting within the finance function.
- Prepare the consolidated accounts
Client accounting
- Provide accounting services for client companies based in Gibraltar, including but not limited to:
- Accounts compilation and preparation of financial statements
- General bookkeeping and cashbook accounting
- Periodic management accounts and reporting
- Work with a range of clients from small self employed individuals and simple limited companies through to medium sized entities, including smaller financial services companies.
- Coordinate accounting engagements and apply sound knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards.
- Oversee job administration including project setup, engagement documentation, report writing and periodic status reporting as necessary.
- Use technology and other resources to deliver work efficiently and accurately, and participate in other projects as assigned by management.
Skills and experience required
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written. All documentation will be in English.
- CPA (or equivalent) with a minimum of 8 years experience in accounting.
- Manager level experience
- Strong technical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards if required.
- Driven, motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent project and time management skills, as you will be dealing with multiple internal stakeholders and external clients at once.
- Experience using accounting-related software, including Xero, Quickbooks, Zoho and similar
