Job Description: Senior Artwork Planning Lead (B2/C1 Level)
Position Overview
The Senior Artwork Planning Lead is responsible for overseeing end-to-end artwork production, packaging execution, and digital asset creation within a fast-paced CPG/FMCG environment. The role ensures accurate, compliant, and high-quality artwork delivery from concept through to print and final execution, while also leading a small team and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
This role is suitable for experienced professionals with strong packaging/artwork operations expertise and proven leadership capability. Mandarin proficiency is required for B2-level roles with language premium eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
Artwork & Packaging Production
- Manage end-to-end artwork development lifecycle (brief intake → design adaptation → prepress → print-ready files)
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of packaging artwork across multiple SKUs and markets
- Coordinate with design agencies, internal marketing, regulatory, and production teams
- Review and approve final artwork files before release to print vendors
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and technical print specifications
Project & Workflow Management
- Plan and prioritize multiple concurrent artwork projects with competing deadlines
- Maintain artwork timelines and ensure on-time delivery across all deliverables
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and implement mitigation plans
- Manage version control and asset archiving systems
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the key liaison between marketing, regulatory, supply chain, and external vendors
- Translate marketing requirements into clear artwork briefs for execution teams
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and supervise a small team of artwork coordinators or specialists
- Allocate workload effectively and ensure quality standards are met
- Provide training and development support to team members
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in artwork workflows, systems, and tools
- Standardize artwork processes across regions and brands
- Support digital transformation initiatives (e.g., DAM systems, automation tools)
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external design agencies, repro houses, and printing vendors
- Ensure compliance with technical print standards and cost efficiency targets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Engineering, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in CPG/FMCG artwork, packaging, or production design
- Strong end-to-end artwork production knowledge (design to print execution)
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working with cross-functional global teams

Compensation Range
- B2 (with Mandarin language premium): 90,000 – 115,000
- C1 (without language premium, leadership-focused): 85,000 – 92,000
