The Opportunity
As a Senior Logistics Analyst, you will help on our global logistics operations. You will be help to ensure that all materials flow seamlessly, optimize routes and agreement with carriers, and support day-to-day operations. You will become an expert on our shipping procedures and shipping IT systems (including help with current 3PL freight audit integration).
You will help to ensure security of supply, cost savings, optimization, and scalability.
What You'll Do
- Work with the team on shipping/transportation budget, policies, procedures, contracts, operations, shipment coordination and routing
- Understand, monitor, and make improvements and adjustment to the global logistics network as needed, and as conditions change
- Work with peers in purchasing, warehouse, legal, finance, and other functions to recognize collaborative opportunities for improvements
- Benchmark industry best practices and streamline operations
- Keep up with regulations and practical requirements
- Support the daily operations of the global shipping network
- Participate in investigations, interviews, and formal or informal requirements gathering sessions
- Recognize discrepancies between business needs and deliverables, and effectively communicates discrepancies and proposed solutions to stakeholders
- Provide analytics/reporting on freight spend, lanes volumes and transportation as required
- Work closely with warehouses and manufacturing facility in the Philippines to optimize processes
- Work closely with carriers and freight audit 3PL to ensure proper operations
- Understand, and resolve global transportation issues, e.g., customs, fees, etc. and other interruptions
- Ensure Inbound Shipping Routing Guide is always up to date
- File insurance claims for product damaged in transit.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field with 3-5 years logistics and transportation experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proactive and a self-stater
- Must be able to work well independently, but also be effective as part of a team
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and particularly strong in Excel
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally across different disciplines and different levels of management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid negotiations skills
- Solid understanding of INCO-terms, and other international transportation concepts
- Good understanding of Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP)
- Experience in working in an international environment
Preferred
- Experience managing the relationships and contracts with major carriers
- Global experience, specifically in APAC
- Similar industry experience
- Involvement in an IT Systems implementation experience
