Job Description

As a business grows across countries, accounting becomes more than closing the books for each entity.

The challenge is to keep reporting consistent, consolidated results reliable, and controls effective as transaction volume and organizational complexity increase.

That is the opportunity you will take on at Lhoopa.

The opportunity:

Lhoopa is helping make homeownership more accessible through a technology-enabled network of contractors, brokers, and field partners.

We have delivered more than 7,000 homes benefiting over 32,000 people, with operations across the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia.

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who can take ownership of the accounting operation while helping shape how accounting works across a growing regional business.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for setting accounting priorities, maintaining reporting discipline, strengthening controls, and leading the team responsible for day-to-day execution.

You will work closely with senior leaders and other Finance functions to ensure that financial information remains accurate, timely, and useful as the business scales.

The challenge you'll own:

Regional growth brings additional entities, transactions, reporting requirements, and stakeholders.

Your role is to ensure that the accounting operation continues to support that growth without losing accuracy, control, or visibility.

You will be responsible for making sure:

  • Closing and reporting remain accurate, timely, and increasingly predictable
  • Consolidated results provide a reliable view across entities
  • Accounting policies are applied consistently
  • Audit and statutory requirements are properly coordinated
  • Accounting risks are identified and addressed early
  • Controls remain effective as the business becomes more complex
  • Processes support growth without adding unnecessary complexity
  • Management understands what is happening behind the numbers

This is more than a senior review position. You will be expected to understand the operation, make decisions, establish priorities, and influence how the accounting function develops.

What you'll own

Your scope will include:

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
  • Month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing
  • Multi-entity consolidation and financial reporting
  • External audits and statutory requirements
  • Accounting policies and internal controls
  • Accounting-risk identification and resolution
  • Process and finance-system improvements
  • Coordination with Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Planning
  • Performance, coaching, and development of the accounting team

What success looks like

During your first year:

  • Closing and reporting remain accurate, timely, and increasingly predictable as the business scales
  • Consolidated results provide a clear and reliable view across entities
  • Audit and statutory requirements are effectively coordinated
  • Accounting risks are identified and addressed early
  • Controls remain effective as transaction volume and organizational complexity increase
  • Accounting processes continue to support regional growth
  • The team operates with clear responsibilities and accountability
  • Management receives reliable financial information to support decisions

What this role could do for your career

If you are currently an Accounting Manager or Financial Controller, this role offers the opportunity to move beyond managing the accounting requirements of one business or entity.

You will take on broader ownership across multiple entities and markets, with exposure to:

  • Regional accounting and reporting
  • Multi-entity consolidation
  • Accounting governance across different markets
  • Senior leadership and cross-functional decision-making
  • Scaling controls and processes in a growing organization
  • Leading and developing an accounting team through regional growth

This could be a strong next step if you are already handling responsibilities beyond your current title and are ready for wider ownership, visibility, and influence.

You might be a good fit if

  • You are a Certified Public Accountant
  • You have around 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience
  • You have spent at least four years leading people or an accounting function
  • You have substantial experience across AP, AR, GL, closing, and financial reporting
  • You understand IFRS/PFRS, statutory compliance, audit, and internal controls
  • You have handled multiple entities, consolidation, or regional reporting
  • You can improve processes while maintaining control of daily execution
  • You communicate clearly and can work confidently with senior stakeholders
  • You are comfortable questioning unclear information and resolving issues at their source

Experience in inventory, cost of sales, project accounting, construction, real estate, or another operationally complex business would be helpful, but an exact industry match is not required.

If you are already doing much of this work without holding the Senior Accounting Manager title, we would still like to hear from you.
