Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting close process and financial statement preparation for our client. This role will manage our accounting team of three dedicated international accounting staff and our part-time outsourced accounting team and lead accounting reporting and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities –
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Preparation and review of GAAP financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal reporting packages for management leadership.
- Support the annual audit process and serve as primary preparer of audit schedules
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets
- Design, implement, and maintain and enforce internal controls
- Maintain and enhance the chart of accounts and accounting policies.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting and close automation tools.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO
- Assist with treasury coordination
- Coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance with external tax advisors.
- Supervise, mentor and develop a team of accounting internation staff (2–5 direct reports)
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Recruit and onboard accounting talent as the organization evolves.
Qualifications –
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar field of study
- 6+ plus years in accounting, with 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role, in a combination of corporate accounting and/or an external auditing firm
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment and building out systems, tools, and processes
- Experience in the QSR, retail, or hospitality industries, particularly with multi-unit operations preferred
- Experience in implementing scalable accounting processes and systems
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to foster a cohesive and united team environment, ensuring effective collaboration and supporting each team member's success
- Experience managing the close process for a multiple location business.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, ERP systems, back-office platforms, and integrating accounting systems for multi-location operations
- Track record of successful implementation of financial systems and implementing compliant processes
- Experience with Sage Intacct and automated accounts payable platforms preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting, close management and reconciliation tools preferred.
- Amenable to work night shift/US hours including holidays
- Amenable to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa City once work in office resumes
