Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic support across the organization.

Role Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing complex general accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and timely month-end and year-end close activities. This role requires a high level of technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while supporting audits, tax compliance, and process improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Record and review financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Perform and review regular account reconciliations, including bank statements and balance sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, amortization, and supporting schedules
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow
  • Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries
  • Ensure all financial records and reporting comply with GAAP, financial regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation in compliance with BIR requirements
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements, and support management reporting
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
  • Assist and support tax filings, tax audits, and regulatory assessments
  • Review intercompany transactions and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation
  • Reconcile fixed asset activities, including additions, transfers, disposals, and monitoring of depreciation schedules
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support accounting best practices

Qualifications

To perform this role successfully, the individual must consistently demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty. The qualifications below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Up to five (5) years of experience in general accounting functions, preferably within a BPO or Shared Services environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (required)
  • CPA license is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with accounting software, preferably Oracle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work on a mid-shift schedule and in a hybrid work arrangement
