We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.
This role will be responsible for handling a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely month-end closing.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience managing multiple balance sheets and P&L accounts, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: General Accounting & Month-End Close
Perform end-to-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
Revenue & Receivables
Handle billing entries, revenue recognition, and cost of services (e.g., driver/carrier payables).
Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, shipper balances, and related party transactions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to validate revenue contracts and accounting treatment.
Assets & Cash
Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Monitor cash balances and reconciliations, ensuring timely classification and reporting.
Process Improvements
Identify and recommend process enhancements to strengthen controls and improve efficiency.
Contribute to the implementation of system and reporting improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Minimum 35 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Work Arrangements
The assigned office of the Senior Accountant is Transportify head office in Ortigas, Pasig City.
The Senior Accountant will primarily operate in a work-from-home setup, except on days when in-person work is essential.
