About the Role

Sycomp is seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as the dedicated accounting lead for our Philippines operations. This is a highly visible position where you will play a key role in managing local accounting activities, tax compliance, billing operations, cash flow support, month-end close, audits, and financial reporting while partnering with teams across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Operations, Logistics, and Sales globally. The role offers the opportunity to work independently, influence business processes, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple regions in a fast-paced multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Philippines accounting function and support local business operations.
• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate and oversee VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax filings, and local tax compliance.
• Partner with Corporate Tax and external advisors on audits, filings, and regulatory matters.
• Serve as the local billing specialist and ensure compliance with Philippines invoicing regulations.
• Support treasury activities including cash forecasting and funding requirements.
• Act as the Philippines subject matter expert for accounting processes, deal structures, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Support statutory and group audits and maintain compliance with local accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), VAT, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Income Tax regulations.
• Experience working with ERP systems; Oracle experience is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting multinational or international business operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
• Professional fluency in English.
