Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (CPA) to take ownership of core accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy across the business. This role goes beyond routine execution. You will play a key role in maintaining clean books, supporting timely closes, and providing clear financial visibility to stakeholders.
This is a strong fit for someone who is hands-on, organized, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable managing full-cycle accounting, identifying discrepancies, and continuously improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle accounting, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage and maintain QuickBooks, ensuring clean, organized, and reliable financial data
- Analyze variances and flag discrepancies, providing clear explanations and recommendations when needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with US accounting standards
- Support process improvements and contribute to strengthening internal controls
- Assist with audit preparation and ensure documentation is complete and organized
- Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders
- Take ownership of responsibilities and execute with minimal supervision
Non-negotiables:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proven hands-on experience in US accounting under GAAP
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to work efficiently and independently
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting and month-end close
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial data
- Experience working in structured environments with defined processes and reporting standards
- Ability to ramp quickly and operate independently
Nice To Have:
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- Background in multi-entity or multi-department accounting
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Experience reviewing or supporting junior team members
- Knowledge of US tax basics (sales tax, payroll tax, federal filings)
- Experience working with remote or offshore teams
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, data analysis, basic modeling)
- Experience cleaning up or organizing historical financial records
