Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff/Senior Accountant to play a key role in strengthening financial reporting accuracy and acting as a quality control layer across accounting processes. This role will act as a key layer above accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, strengthening controls, and contributing to the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in financial reporting, variance analysis, and collaboration with Property Managers to support budgeting and overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial reporting across a portfolio of approximately 25–30 properties, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
- Review and oversee AP/AR transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support and actively participate in the month-end close process
- Perform detailed variance analysis and identify key financial insights
- Review financial reports and detect discrepancies or errors
- Partner closely with Property Managers on budgets and financial performance
- Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and controls
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–6+ years of accounting experience (property accounting strongly preferred)
- Experience working with US-based clients, companies, or portfolios
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proven ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and process gaps
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (client-facing role)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
