The Senior Accountant will handle full local accounting functions, BIR compliance, and payroll in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role suits an experienced accountant who can maintain accurate financial records and support continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger records, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reports.
- Compile and analyze financial data to create timely financial reports for management.
- Assist in preparing BIR filings (Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, FBT, etc.) and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
- Update and maintain company records with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
- Act as the main contact for banks and review bank reconciliations.
- Ensure monthly government remittances and compliance submissions.
- Prepare debit notes, official receipts, and intercompany charges.
- Monitor customs charges and process cash advance liquidations.
- Support HR in checking payroll-related employee accountabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an local company.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting, BIR processes, and end-to-end payroll.
- Experience in statutory benefits, bookkeeping, and audits.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
