Work Schedule: 4-Day workweek, midshift (12:00 PM to 10:00 PM during UK DST or 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM)

Role Description

The Senior Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, including accounts preparation, general ledger reconciliation, financial statement analysis, and compliance with tax regulations specific to the UK and Canada. Additional responsibilities include overseeing bookkeeping tasks, payroll administration, preparation of GST/HST/VAT filings, and providing mentorship to junior team members. The role also involves collaborating effectively with partner-clients to ensure the highest quality financial services are delivered.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, financial statement analysis, and general ledger reconciliation
• Experience with bookkeeping and payroll administration
• Familiarity with tax laws, including HMRC (UK) and CRA (Canada) regulations, and expertise in preparing GST/HST/VAT filings
• Proficient in accounting software and tools; adaptability to client-specific processes and systems
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Proven ability to mentor and manage junior accountants
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA qualification preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, ideally in a professional services or outsourcing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
