Overview

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and full-cycle month-end close for one of our operating companies. This role will own the accounting function end-to-end, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and timely close processes while partnering closely with leadership.

The ideal candidate brings a Senior Accountant or Controller-level background, is comfortable operating with autonomy, and has experience supporting growing or mid-market businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full-cycle accounting function, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations

Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and

timeliness

Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities across AP, AR, and cash management

Prepare and review financial statements and management reports

Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls

Coordinate with external partners including tax advisors, auditors, and fractional finance teams as

needed

Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis for leadership

Identify and implement process improvements to scale accounting operations efficiently

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a Senior Accountant or Controller-like role

Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and month-end close

Experience supporting operating companies, SMBs, or high-growth environments

Proficiency with common accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

Solid understanding of GAAP and financial controls

High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
