Job Summary
The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible for leading month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The role partners cross-functionally to strengthen accounting processes, support audits, and drive continuous process improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Performs month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Reviews and analyzes financial results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.
Supports credit card and accounts payable management processes.
Assists with annual audits and responds to audit requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepares ad hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
Supports system implementations and accounting process improvements across brands.
Develops and updates accounting policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provides guidance and support to accounting team members across operating locations.
Identifies accounting issues and implements solutions to improve efficiency and internal controls.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align accounting processes with business needs.
Screening Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
At least four (4) years of experience in public accounting or in an industry accounting role.
Experience in US GAAP accounting and working with US companies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
Must have a stable employment history.
Required Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of financial accounting principles and US GAAP.
Experience handling month-end close and financial reporting processes.
Experience supporting audits and preparing audit documentation.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Exhibits strong attention to detail and quality control.
Shows initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.
Works collaboratively across teams and organizational levels.
Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with multi-location or multi-entity financial consolidation and reporting is preferred.
Experience in a Private Equity environment is preferred.
Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.
