Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services team. You will lead key general accounting functions, drive month-end close processes, ensure SOX and GAAP compliance, and mentor junior finance staff while supporting cross-functional decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• General Accounting & Reporting: Manage general ledger operations, prepare/review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, and drive timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Financial Analysis & Business Support: Support the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), analyze variances/trends, and build management reports to guide business strategy.
• Compliance, Controls & Audit: Maintain GAAP and SOX 404 compliance, assist in internal control design, perform technical accounting research, and lead audit support with external/internal auditors.
• Leadership & Team Mentorship: Review team work for accuracy, delegate tasks, mentor junior accountants, and lead continuous process improvement projects across systems and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy; CPA required.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in General Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Record-to-Report (RTR) within a shared services environment.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP, SOX 404 compliance, complex reconciliations, and financial close management.
• Proven leadership, peer-review, and cross-functional project management abilities.
