Join BMG Outsourcing as a Senior Accountant and manage end-to-end accounting functions for a portfolio of Australian pharmacy clients. • Location: Angeles, Clark, Pampanga
• Work Setup: On-site
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM (PH Time)
• Employment: Full-time
• Salary: PHP 70,000 - 120,000

What You'll Do:

• Manage end-to-end accounting functions for a portfolio of Australian pharmacy clients, including general ledger maintenance, trial balances, and review of asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and oversee bank, petty cash, credit card, loan, balance sheet, creditor, stock on hand, inter-store, and financing reconciliations, including hire purchase schedules; review annual leave, personal leave, and long service leave entitlement reconciliations and investigate material variances.
• Review and analyze monthly debtor, sales, and pharmacy-related accounts, including PBS owing, customer debtors, inter-store trading, scripts owing, shop accounts, donations, bad debts, owner accounts, POS reports, cash, EFTPOS takings, dispensary income, and PBS income; investigate material discrepancies.
• Manage creditor-related activities, including invoice processing, supplier communications, and payment reviews, while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reconciliations and supporting financial records.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, BAS, Payroll Tax Returns, GST reconciliations, and other compliance lodgements, ensuring compliance with Australian taxation requirements and reporting standards.
• Identify accounting risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement and automation; act as an escalation point for complex accounting matters while maintaining high service standards and adherence to client deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to Junior and Intermediate Accountants, including reviewing completed work and assisting with staff training and professional development.
• Support management with workflow planning, resource allocation, continuous improvement initiatives, and client service, building trusted relationships with clients while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field; CPA qualification or progress toward CPA/CA certification is highly desirable.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, including experience in Australian accounting environments, with at least 2 years in a senior, supervisory, or review capacity.
• Strong experience with Australian SME accounting, Australian taxation principles, compliance, and reporting requirements, including preparation and review of financial statements, BAS, payroll tax returns, and management reports.
• Previous experience working with pharmacy or healthcare industry clients and managing a portfolio of Australian clients; exposure to workflow management, team leadership, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
• Strong technical skills, including familiarity with Australian accounting standards and cloud-based accounting technologies, extensive experience using Xero and/or MYOB, and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines, a client-focused and proactive approach, strong work ethic, commitment to continuous learning, and ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
