Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detailoriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex accounting activities, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance, and supporting the delivery of exceptional financial services across a diverse client portfolio.
Work Schedule: 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
Work Setup:
- Hybrid
- Will be working onsite in Makati Office during probationary period (the onsite requirement may be shortened to three months based on your performance).
JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
Client Accounting and Advisory
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns (individual, trust, partnership, and company), BAS/IAS, and other statutory reports.
- Provide strategic advice on tax planning, structuring, and business growth.
- Conduct client meetings and communicate insights clearly and professionally.
- Serve as the key point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely and responsive service.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with ATO regulations, Australian Accounting Standards, and firm policies.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors as required.
Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior accountants and graduates.
- Lead by example by demonstrating technical excellence and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Deliver on-the-job training and formal feedback as part of performance reviews. Process Improvement and Firm Contribution
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through automation and workflow enhancements.
- Support the adoption of new systems and technologies.
- Contribute to the development of firm procedures, templates, and knowledge resources.
Who we are looking for:
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification (completed).
- Minimum 46 years of experience in practice accounting.
- Proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements.
