Role Description
Accountalent is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Accountant who can confidently manage the complete accounting lifecycle and build successful long term business relationships for multiple clients or entities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building accounting structures from the ground up—onboarding new clients, setting up charts of accounts, managing day-to-day bookkeeping, leading month-end close, and delivering accurate, insightful financial reports.

What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations for assigned clients or entities.
- Handle new client onboarding, including understanding business models, financial processes, and reporting requirements.
- Set up and structure the Chart of Accounts aligned with client operations and reporting needs.
- Perform and oversee daily bookkeeping, including AP, AR, payroll entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year- end closing processes accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve accounting and systems issues, discrepancies, and process gaps.
- Serve as a trusted accounting partner to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support audits and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively within a team‑based environment.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy graduate.
- CPA is required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
- Proven experience in client onboarding and chart of accounts setup
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis (GAAP)
- Knowledge of U.S. corporate tax regulations is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Puzzle, Rillet, Xero, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- High attention to detail with excellent time and priority management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Experience working with startups is a plus.
