In this role, you will work closely with other IT team members, users, and business leaders to plan, design, build, and monitor our networks and systems.
You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Job requirements:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology OR equivalent years of work experience.
- More than 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus software, network monitoring tools, and encryption
- Knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS).
- Knowledge and experience with Active Directory, DHCP, Exchange, File & Print Services, VPNs.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, AU Essential Eight.
- Relevant experiences with AWS.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Fundamentals, CompTIA, Google Cybersecurity, Microsoft Endpoint) are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard cloud resources and data and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Configure and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and endpoint security solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices in new and existing systems and applications.
- Respond to security incidents in a timely manner, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance 8. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
