What You'll Do:
- Lead R&D projects for New Product Development (NPD), product improvement, and cost optimization in the Food & Health Care category.
- Independently manage product development projects, specializing in beverages, snacks, baked goods, and alternative food ingredients.
- Provide technical coaching and mentorship to junior scientists, sharing expertise in formulation and scientific rigor.
- Serve as the primary technical lead for cross-functional coordination and communication on assigned projects.
- Screen and recommend raw materials, supporting Third-Party Manufacturer audits and supplier qualification.
- Oversee documentation of technical tests, product performance, benchmarking, and project results.
- Support operational activities, including resolving product or process concerns and evaluating alternative raw material sources.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biology, or related Science/Engineering field. PRC license or registration preferred; Professional Food Technologists highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D, product development, or manufacturing of Food, Beverage, or Health Supplement products.
- Proven track record in developing snacks, baked goods, or alternative food ingredients (e.g., plant proteins).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex projects independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence and coach a team while contributing as an individual expert.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering results on-time and within budget.
