Responsible for delivering SAP consultancy services to NRI clients, including the design, development, implementation, and support of SAP solutions. The Technical Consultant will develop technical solutions that enable NRI to achieve its business objectives and meet the requirements of its clients. This role may involve working independently, as appropriate to the assignment, or as part of a team under the guidance of a senior SAP practitioner and/or Project Manager.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, and implement ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms to meet business requirements and improve system functionality.
  • Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging of ABAP code to identify and resolve issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing system issues, resolving tickets, and implementing system enhancements and upgrades as needed.
  • Modernise User Interfaces by designing and building applications consistent with the SAP Fiori Application Architecture.
  • Implementing Fiori applications (transactional, factsheet and analytical) and enhancing standard applications using enhancement framework
  • Strong proficiency in SAP BTP/SAP HANA ABAP programming concepts, including object-oriented programming (OOP), REST APIs, ODATA, ALV reporting, BAPIs, RFCs, and SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA data models, CDS views, and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) is highly desirable.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance.
  • Configure and customise SAP modules as needed, leveraging ABAP skills to enhance system capabilities and optimize business processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, design documents, and test plans, to support system implementations and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, perform unit testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and reliability of ABAP developments and migration activities.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and other documentation as required, ensuring clear and comprehensive communication of solution designs and implementation detail.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Provide guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the SAP ABAP practice.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, ABAP programming techniques, and migration methodologies, continuously expanding skills and knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in SAP ABAP programming language & familiarity with SAP BTP development tools.
  • Proficient in SAP development for SAP functional areas (especially SAP EWM / WM) across SAP ECC6 and SAP S/4HANA, such as SAP Enhancement Framework, SAP BAPI, SAP IDoc & SAP User Exits.
  • Solid understanding of SAP data structures, data migration & data integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori & SAP UI5 for developing modern & user-friendly SAP applications.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes & translate them into technical requirements.
  • Strong debugging & problem-solving skills & understanding of business requirements of system solutions.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
