SAP Project Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the delivery of end-to-end SAP transformation programs, including implementations, upgrades, and global rollouts.

This role will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex SAP programs, leading cross-functional teams, and driving high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders

• Develop detailed project plans (timeline, budget, resources, risks)

• Lead end-to-end SAP project lifecycle using methodologies such as SAP Activate / ASAP

• Track progress, milestones, and ensure alignment with delivery plans

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for business, IT, and external partners

• Manage stakeholder expectations and communications across all levels

• Conduct regular status updates, steering committees, and reporting

• Ensure alignment between business goals and project delivery

Team Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams (functional consultants, developers, business analysts)

• Drive collaboration and provide clear direction to project teams

• Manage internal and external resources, including vendors and contractors

• Mentor team members and support capability development

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies

• Manage and resolve issues and escalations proactively

• Develop contingency and mitigation plans

• Maintain strong governance and control frameworks

Quality & Delivery

• Ensure quality through testing governance (SIT/UAT) and validation processes

• Manage change requests and scope control

• Oversee deployment, go-live, and hypercare support

• Conduct post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field

• 8–15+ years of experience in SAP project delivery or program management

• Proven experience managing end-to-end SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred)

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall)

• Experience handling large-scale, multi-country or global rollouts

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consulting / system integrator environment (Big 4, Accenture, IBM, etc.)

• Exposure to multiple SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, BW, etc.)

• PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP Activate certification is a plus

• Experience managing offshore/onshore delivery models

• Strong background in ERP transformation programs
