Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Senior Consultant to join our consulting team in the Philippines. The role focuses on end-to-end payroll implementations, enhancements, and support in an on-premise SAP ERP HCM environment.

The Senior Consultant will work closely with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver payroll solutions, ensure statutory compliance, and optimize payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP HCM Payroll configuration and implementation workstreams.
  • Conduct payroll requirement gathering, blueprinting, and solution design workshops.
  • Configure payroll schemas, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), wage types, symbolic accounts, and posting to FI.
  • Implement statutory payroll requirements for the Philippines (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and ensure compliance.
  • Integrate Payroll with Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), and Time Management.
  • Handle retroactive accounting, off-cycle payroll runs, and year-end processing.
  • Support testing cycles: Unit Test, SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll runs.
  • Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP teams for custom developments and enhancements.
  • Perform payroll reconciliation and ensure accurate payroll-to-finance postings.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot payroll issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of SAP HCM experience with strong focus on Payroll.
  • At least 12 full-cycle SAP HCM Payroll implementations.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage type configuration
  • Retroactive accounting and off-cycle payroll
  • Payroll integration with FI/GL
  • Statutory compliance and reporting in the Philippines
  • Experience with SAP HR support packs, payroll legal changes, and year-end processes.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, providing guidance to junior consultants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP HCM Payroll Certification.
  • Experience with multi-company or multi-country payroll environments.
  • Exposure to payroll migration projects from SAP HCM Payroll to SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
