Role Overview
We are seeking an SAP BW/HANA Lead Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP data warehousing and analytics solutions across enterprise environments.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA solutions, enabling organizations to transform raw data into actionable insights through scalable analytics platforms. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design end-to-end data flows, optimize system performance, and support analytics-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
SAP BW / HANA Solution Design
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA data warehouse solutions
- Design end-to-end data flows from SAP and non-SAP systems into enterprise analytics platforms
- Develop optimized BW objects and ensure scalable data architecture across analytics environments
Data Modeling & Development
- Develop and maintain BW objects including InfoObjects, ADSOs, DSOs, Cubes, Transformations, and Process Chains
- Build and optimize Composite Providers and BW queries for reporting and analytics
- Develop ABAP extractors and routines to enable data extraction and transformation
Analytics & Reporting Enablement
- Support reporting solutions through SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and BW reporting tools
- Build OData-enabled queries and support integration with external applications
- Ensure accurate and high-performing analytics solutions for business users
System Optimization & Support
- Monitor and optimize BW process chains, data loads, and system performance
- Provide incident, problem, and change management support
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve system efficiency
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as technical lead and escalation point for complex SAP BW/HANA issues
- Guide development teams and review solution designs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in SAP BW development and consulting
Extensive experience with SAP BW on HANA and BW/4HANA implementations
Strong expertise in SAP ABAP for BW development
Experience supporting SAP Analytics Cloud and enterprise analytics platforms
Proven experience leading technical teams and acting as escalation point for critical issues
