The SAP FICO Implementation Consultant is mainly responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying new company code in SAP. He is also leading analysis and design in the SAP FI/CO/FSCM area, often in close cooperation with the business. He/She conducts structured testing internally and with users. He/She is also responsible in securing the required documents and approvals to move the changes in testing environment and production. Ensuring stabilization of the solution after SAP Production Go-Live.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding the business requirement of the JFC to land the new company code.
- Preparation of Blueprint for implementing the project.
- Facilitate the blueprint discussion and finalized its approval.
- Ensure that appropriate SAP Roles are created, approved, and tested specific for the new company code.
- Prepares configuration documents and functional specifications required based on the approved business blueprint
- Performs Unit Testing and Systems Integration Testing.
- Secures the needed documentation and approval to move the changes in the business testing environment (QAS)
- Facilitate the UAT Activities: [Moving the TR to QAS, ensures that all business users have a required roles (derived roles) for testing and business support]
- Conduct knowledge transfer to FICO AMS.
- Secures UAT Sign-off/Approval and prepares all required documentation for Change Advisory in Board Meeting to move that change in SAP Production.
- 1-month Hypercare Support after SAP Production Implementation.
- Sort out day to day queries of end users and stakeholders.
- Handle deliverables of 3rd Party AMS
- Exposure to Testing Tools - Cloud ALM, HP ALM, Tosca is a plus
Job Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in implementation and configuration of SAP Financials and Controlling modules (SAP FICO) in SAP ECC or S/4HANA, or have successfully completed at least 3 end-to-end SAP FICO implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, financial processes, and related business functions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and vendor partners.
- Ability to perform fit-gap analysis, configuration, troubleshooting, testing and training.
- Has good understanding and experience in SAP software lifecycle and in creating documents such as blueprints, functional specifications, test scripts, user guides and process flows.
- Experience with system enhancements, patches, upgrades, and testing methodologies and ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP FI-related issues efficiently, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable on SAP FICO integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Must be amenable to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid Work Setup).
