Role Summary
We're seeking a seasoned SAP Consultant with 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting global enterprise environments. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in production monitoring, incident/problem support, and has completed at least one end-to-end (full-cycle) SAP implementation. You'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to stabilize operations, optimize processes, and deliver change with measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Monitoring
- Perform daily/weekly monitoring of jobs, interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, APIs), batch processes, and system health.
- Proactively address performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and integration failures; raise and track defects.
Application Support
- Own L2/L3 incident resolution, root-cause analysis (RCA), and problem management with clear SLAs.
- Manage service requests, change requests, and minor enhancements using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Implementation & Enhancements
- Lead/participate in at least one full-cycle implementation
- Create and maintain functional specs (configuration rationales, and test scripts; coordinate with developers for WRICEF objects)
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with business process owners, integrations, security, and basis teams
- Translate business needs into SAP best-practice configurations and data models; recommend process improvements.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain configuration documents, operating procedures (SOPs), KT packs, and knowledge base articles.
- Adhere to change control, transport management, and audit/compliance standards (SOX, GDPR where applicable).
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze support trends and KPIs; propose automation, simplification, and performance tuning opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of hands-on SAP consulting experience in a global enterprise setting.
- At least one full-cycle implementation (endtoend) in the relevant SAP module.
- Strong experience in monitoring, L2/L3 support, RCA, and change/enhancement delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multicultural, distributed teams.
