SAP BW Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Consultant to design, develop, and deliver enterprise data warehousing and reporting solutions. The role involves working with business and technical teams to build scalable data models, ETL processes, and analytics solutions using SAP BW / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in data modeling, extraction, transformation, and reporting, and can support end-to-end implementations, migrations, and enhancements, particularly in S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP BW / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA solutions

• Build and maintain data models (InfoObjects, InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers)

• Develop data extraction and transformation processes (ETL) from SAP and non-SAP sources

• Create and optimize data loads, process chains, and data flows

• Develop reports and dashboards using SAP BW tools and/or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office (AFO)

• Collaborate with functional teams (FI, SD, MM, etc.) to understand reporting requirements

• Support S/4HANA migration and BW transformation projects

• Perform data validation, testing (SIT/UAT), and performance tuning

• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support and enhancements

• Document technical designs, data models, and reporting solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 3–8+ years of SAP BW experience

• Hands-on experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA

• Strong experience in data modeling, ETL development, and reporting

• Experience working with SAP and non-SAP data sources

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consulting or system integrator environment

• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA reporting and embedded analytics

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Analysis for Office (AFO)

• Knowledge of ABAP (for BW), AMDP, or SQL scripting

• Experience in data migration or BW to BW/4HANA conversion projects

• SAP BW Certification is a plus
