SAP BW Consultant

GyanSys is looking for a SAP BW who can join immediately our team. The main responsibilities involve the analysis, design, development and configuration of reports for business users leveraging SAP Business Warehouse & other BI tools. Activities also include working with business users to establish requirements for new reports and modify existing reports; design, configure and test reports to business specifications; troubleshoot issues on scheduled reports in order to diagnose and provide resolution; Production support of existing BW and reporting functionality; able to fix data job failures that may occur on critical overnight jobs. Developing HANA Views and conversion of legacy data models into HANA optimized data models is must.

Employment duration: 6 months and possible renewal depending of work performancee

Work Set-up: 2x a week onsite at client office in Mandaluyong. Working time is 8am - 5PM.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Requirements gathering, system analysis, design, development/configuration of new reports.
• Document functional and technical design specifications.
• Configuration, data modeling and report writing using SAP BEx and BOBJ tools.
• Liaison with R/3 process teams and other application teams to understand how data that is sourced from these systems is processed and what business rules have been applied so it can be effectively utilized to enhance reporting and analytical solutions and resolve issues.
• Prepares and reviews procedures and documentation.
• Research, diagnose and resolve issues with data loads, and report failures.
• Ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of Daily, Weekly and Monthly scheduled reports and data loads to different targets.
• Production support of existing BW and reporting functionality
• Coordinate with the BASIS Team to resolve any system related issues.
• Ability to solve the tickets logged by users in Reporting or Data Mismatch. This includes reconciliation of data between SAP R/3 and SAP BW Reports etc.
• Configuration, data modeling, Hana view development, and report writing using SAP tools.
• Conversion of legacy data models( DSO's, Cubes, MPs) into HANA optimized data models using BW/4HANA Transfer Cockpit.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong BI/BW developer with below experience is a must.
• 6+ Years of BI/BW experience.
• 3+ Years of HANA Modeling experience - HANA views (Graphical interface and SQL), SDI, and SDA.
• 2+ years with SAP BW/4HANA Transfer Cockpit to convert legacy BW models into HANA Optimized data models.

Technologies:

• SAP BW 7.5 on HANA - Building BW data flows, ABAP, Process chains, and Queries
• SAP HANA - Developing HANA views - Graphical and SQL, SDI, and SDA
• BW/4HANA Transfer Cockpit to convert legacy BW models into HANA Optimized data models.
• Business Objects - WEBI, BODS
• Dataspehre and any Tableau experience is a plus
