Job Description

We are seeking a skilledSAP ABAP Developerwith strong hands-on experience inGPPDB, GPDB, GPODB, and GPCDBdatabases to design, develop, and maintain SAP custom solutions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ABAP development, database-driven reporting, performance tuning, and production support in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintainSAP ABAP programsaligned with business requirements, includingreports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and custom objects.
Work extensively withGPPDB / GPDB / GPODB / GPCDBdatabases for data management, extraction, and reporting use cases.
Gather and analyze requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, business users, testing teams) and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
Develop, test, and implement ABAP code followingSAP best practicesand organizational coding/documentation standards.
Optimize existing ABAP programs and database queries for improved performance and runtime efficiency.
Ensuredata integrity, security, and qualitywithin SAP environments, including validations and robust error handling.
Conductunit testingand support integration andUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve SAP ABAP and database-related technical issues promptly; provide ongoing support and enhancements for production systems.
Maintain clear documentation includingtechnical specifications, development processes, and user guidesas required by delivery standards.
Stay updated on evolvingSAP ABAP toolsand database technologies to continuously improve solutions.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience inSAP ABAP development(custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and related ABAP objects).
Solid experience working withGPPDB, GPDB, GPODB, GPCDBdatabases and optimizing database interactions.
Proven capability inperformance optimizationfor ABAP programs and data access patterns.
Expertise in preparing and maintainingtechnical specifications and documentation.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support production issues.
Good communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Good to Have

Exposure to structured development practices: code reviews, test documentation, and release/transport discipline.
Experience with ABAP performance guidelines and best practices for database-intensive programs.
