We are seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer to support SAP offshore development activities. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of ABAP programming, SAP modules (such as MM, SD, FI, LE, WM, HR), and should have exposure to S/4HANA and modern SAP technologies such as ABAP 7.5, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData, ABAP Cloud. The role involves working closely with onshore functional and technical teams, delivering robust and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using ABAP.
- Develop and maintain custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms (SmartForms/Adobe), and conversions (RICEF).
- Work on performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP programs.
- Develop solutions using modern ABAP practices (OOP, CDS Views, OData, BOPF, AMDP).
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, LE, WM, HCM).
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Provide production support and bug fixes as needed.
- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams for smooth delivery and communication.
- Must be available to work overlapping hours with onshore teams.
- Proficient in using remote collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Jira, SAP Solution Manager).
- Proactive, accountable, and capable of managing multiple development tasks simultaneously.
- Minimum presence of 80% in the Office
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- S/4HANA and/or BTP Certifications
- 6+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience.
- Expertise in classic and modern ABAP programming, including:
- Sapscript / SmartForms / Adobe Forms
- Reports (ALV classical and editable, ALV tree) / Function Modules / Classes / Querys / Module Pools / Conversions / emailing / logs
- BADIs / User Exits / Enhancements / FI Substitutions / BTEs
- BAPIs / IDOCs / Batch Inputs / Legacys / Proxys / RFCs
- OData APIs / REST/SOAP APIs / Webservices
- Events and Jobs
- SAP Notes application and transport management
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, HANA data modeling, Object-oriented ABAP programming and ABAP 7.5
- Experience with SAP Build Apps (low-code/no-code), SAP Build Process Automation and SAP Build Work Zone
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken). Level C1.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an offshore delivery model.
- Experience with Agile methodologies or SAP Activate framework is preferred.
- Offshore experience with Spain
- Sector experience in Fashion/Retail
- Spanish or other European languages
- Experience with SAP Fiori is a plus.
- Experience in migrations from SAP R3 to S4 and Rollouts (SPDD/SPAU)
- Experience managing SAP Roles and authorization objects
- Experience in SAP Workflows development
