SAP ABAP Application Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Application Developer to join our ERP Scrum Team(s) and help design, develop, and maintain enterprisegrade SAP solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with global product teams and IT partners to deliver highquality SAP application development services to internal customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the ERP Scrum Team, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with global teams and IT partners to deliver SAP Application Development services
• Request prioritization and task delegation
• Problem and requirements analysis
• Programming enhancements and resolving incidents using ABAP, S/4HANA, and Fiori
• Performing unit testing and supporting functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, including defect resolution
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
• Conducting code quality reviews and ensuring adherence to development standards
• Participating in project implementations and development of system modifications and enhancements
• Staying current with emerging technologies used by the organization, including Fiori/SAPUI5, SAP Cloud Platform, HANA, BTP, RAP, and CAP
• Establishing, maintaining, and promoting development standards and best practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Strong background in SAP application development, including problem analysis, requirements definition, risk/benefit analysis, and technical documentation
• At least 4 years of experience developing SAP ABAP applications (RICEFW)
• At least 2 years of experience developing SAP Fiori applications
• At least 2 years of experience developing ABAP backend REST APIs for external systems or frontend consumption
• Experience developing, updating, or optimizing programs for SAP on HANA
• Working knowledge of CDS, BTP, RAP, and CAP
• Cybersecurity awareness, including the ability to identify and remediate ABAP code vulnerabilities
• At least 1 year of experience using ATC
• Knowledge of OAuth
• Solid understanding of application development best practices, including:
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile)
• Waterfall delivery
• ITSM Incident and Change Management
• Technical specification documentation
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical standards, policies, tools, and technologies
