The Performance Development & Training Consultant partners with Sales, Enablement, and cross‑functional stakeholders to design, deliver, and continuously improve training and sales enablement initiatives that support performance and revenue outcomes.
This role blends strategy and execution. You'll translate business needs into practical, easy‑to‑apply learning solutions that help LexisNexis Sales teams ramp faster, work more effectively, and improve results. You will support onboarding, upskill, and refresher programs while serving as a trusted enablement partner to the business.
What You'll Do
Training & Development
- Identify learning needs and performance gaps through stakeholder discussions and review of performance data
- Define clear learning objectives aligned to business and revenue goals
- Design and deliver:
- New hire onboarding programs
- Refresher and rehash training sessions
- Role‑specific and advanced upskill initiatives
- Develop and maintain training materials, including:
- Slide decks
- Facilitator guides
- Job aids and quick reference tools
- Quizzes and learning activities
- Deliver engaging, practical training sessions that connect directly to day‑to‑day work
- Reinforce learning through follow‑ups, resources, and ongoing touchpoints
Sales Enablement
- Support initiatives that improve sales effectiveness and readiness
- Equip sales teams with tools, playbooks, best practices, and product knowledge
- Observe sales calls and real interactions to understand what's happening in the field
- Support and facilitate call calibration sessions to reinforce strong behaviors and identify improvement opportunities
Content & Learning Systems
- Upload, organize, and maintain training materials in platforms such as:
- Learning Management System tools
- SharePoint
- Maintain version control and ensure materials are current, accurate, and easy to navigate
- Partner with Learning Design & Technology to enhance learning experience and structure
Program Execution & Operations
- Manage training logistics, scheduling, and communications
- Coordinate sessions with facilitators, SMEs, leaders, and participants
- Support smooth execution of onboarding and enablement programs
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while adjusting to shifting business priorities
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Track participation, completion, and effectiveness of training programs
- Review learner feedback and performance outcomes
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Share insights and recommendations with stakeholders
- Continuously refine training programs to improve impact and relevance
Being a Trusted Partner
- Serve as an approachable and reliable resource for sales teams and leaders
- Support questions related to:
- Product features and updates
- Sales positioning and deal strategy
- Processes and ways of working
- When unsure, proactively identify the right SME and follow through to get answers
- Build strong relationships through responsiveness, clarity, and follow‑through
Who You Are
- You have experience in training, enablement, learning, performance consulting, or a related field
- You're comfortable facilitating sessions and engaging different audiences
- You can translate complex information into clear, practical guidance
- You're organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- You collaborate effectively with SMEs, leaders, and cross‑functional partners
- You're curious about performance, always looking for ways to improve how people learn and apply skills
- You're comfortable working with learning platforms and collaboration tools
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree Holder
- 1-2 years experience as a trainer
- Experience supporting training, enablement, or learning initiatives
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work with data, feedback, or observations to inform decisions
- Experience supporting sales or revenue‑generating teams is a plus
- Instructional design or enablement experience is a plus
- Amenable to work in nightshift
