Job Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The C&I Rooftop Sales Manager will lead the development and growth of the company's commercial and industrial rooftop solar business. The role is responsible for generating project opportunities, building relationships with EPC companies, developers, installers, distributors, and corporate end users, and converting qualified leads into solar panel sales.
The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of the Philippine C&I solar market, project-based selling, channel management, and commercial negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the C&I rooftop solar segment.
- Identify and pursue rooftop solar opportunities involving factories, warehouses, malls, hotels, hospitals, schools, office buildings, and other commercial facilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, solar developers, installers, distributors, consultants, property owners, and corporate decision-makers.
- Create and manage a healthy sales pipeline from lead generation through project award, delivery, and collection.
- Secure the specification and preferred-brand status of the company's solar panels in targeted projects.
- Work closely with customers to understand project requirements, including system capacity, module specifications, pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, and technical support.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, sales presentations, forecasts, and account-development plans.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, and supply agreements while protecting company profitability.
- Coordinate with technical, marketing, logistics, finance, and after-sales teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor competitor activities, market pricing, product trends, regulations, financing programs, and developments in the Philippine rooftop solar sector.
- Support product launches, technical workshops, customer meetings, trade exhibitions, and industry events.
- Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, market intelligence, and demand forecasts to management.
- Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable and manage customer credit exposure in coordination with the finance team.
- Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen the company's market coverage and product availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of sales or business-development experience, preferably in solar PV, renewable energy, electrical equipment, construction, or energy solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in C&I rooftop solar, project sales, EPC engagement, or solar-module distribution.
- Strong network among Philippine solar EPCs, developers, installers, distributors, and commercial or industrial customers.
- Good understanding of solar PV systems, project economics, electricity consumption, return on investment, and power-purchase or lease arrangements.
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and negotiate high-value commercial contracts.
- Strong presentation, communication, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and sales-pipeline reporting.
- Willing and able to travel frequently for customer meetings, project visits, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering or technical background in electrical systems or renewable energy.
- Experience working for a solar-module manufacturer or Tier 1 solar brand.
- Familiarity with Philippine net-metering rules, distributed-energy regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Experience managing EPC, distributor, and corporate end-user accounts.
- Existing relationships with large industrial groups, property developers, and energy-service companies.
