The Opportunity

Are you a Tekla detailer ready to transition into sales We're seeking a motivated professional who understands the technical side of steel detailing and wants to leverage that expertise in a client-facing sales role.

This position combines your technical knowledge with business development, allowing you to connect with steel fabricators, showcase our detailing capabilities, and help fabrication companies succeed with accurate, high-quality drawings and models.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Lead Generation:

  • Research and identify steel fabrication companies that need detailing services
  • Build and manage prospect lists of fabricators through data mining and market research
  • Conduct cold outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and lead tracking
  • Qualify opportunities using defined criteria for leadership to follow up on

Client Relationship Management:

  • Communicate technical services clearly to fabrication shop owners, project managers, and engineers
  • Work with Marketing leadership to follow up on and qualify leads generated from campaigns
  • Develop long-term relationships with fabricators to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Follow up on proposals, negotiate terms, and help close sales

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Tekla Structures experience in steel detailing (miscellaneous or structural)
  • Excellent English communication skills - both written and spoken (this is essential)
  • Experience with or strong willingness to learn lead generation, cold outreach, and prospecting
  • Ability to perform opportunity research, list building, and data mining for potential clients
  • Strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel drawings
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads, proposals, and clients simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales or business development experience in construction, engineering, or fabrication industries
  • Familiarity with Apollo.io
  • Understanding of steel fabrication processes and shop drawings
