Role Description
This full-time Sales Executive role is based on-site in Makati. The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying potential clients, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and promoting Intertek's services. The role involves developing sales strategies, preparing presentations, meeting sales targets, and negotiating contracts. Additional duties include collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.
Job Qualifications
Sales Executive – Food Testing and Hardlines/Environmental Testing
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or any related discipline.
- Relevant training or certifications in sales, quality, testing, inspection, or certification services is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of sales experience, preferably in testing, inspection, certification (TIC), laboratories, environmental services, food safety, or related industries.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, and business development.
- Experience handling Food Testing (e.g., microbiology, chemical analysis, food safety compliance) and/or Hardlines / Environmental Testing (e.g., consumer goods, materials, environmental monitoring) is highly preferred.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Good understanding of:
- Food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA, local regulatory requirements)
- Hardlines testing (consumer products such as textiles, furniture, toys, footwear, electronics, or materials)
- Environmental testing and monitoring (air, water, soil, waste, or industrial compliance)
- Ability to explain technical testing services clearly to clients.
- Familiarity with laboratory processes, testing scopes, and compliance requirements is a strong advantage.
Sales & Business Competencies
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
- Capability to prepare sales proposals, quotations, and business presentations
- Results-driven with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Good analytical skills to identify customer needs and propose suitable solutions
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills
- Professional, confident, and customer-oriented demeanor
Other Requirements
- Willingness to conduct client visits, presentations, and business development activities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical, laboratory, and operations teams
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience is a plus
- Can work under pressure and manage multiple accounts effectively
