Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Sales Development Representative (SDR). The SDR will be responsible for generating qualified leads through proactive outreach, supporting the sales team in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing prospect relationships, and contributing to pipeline growth. This role requires a high-energy, outbound-focused mindset with a strong emphasis on cold outreach and appointment setting.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-performing SDR / Appointment Setter to support both outbound and inbound sales initiatives. This role is critical to Kapitalwise's growth and focuses heavily on:
- Cold calling
- Cold emailing
- Appointment setting with financial advisors and RIAs
- You will engage prospects, qualify interest, and book meetings for the sales team using structured outreach sequences and modern lead-generation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound & Inbound Prospecting
- Execute high-volume cold calling and cold emailing to financial advisors and RIAs
- Run structured outbound sequences across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects
- Lead Qualification & Appointment Setting
- Qualify prospects based on defined criteria (firm type, interest, readiness)
- Clearly communicate Kapitalwise's value proposition
- Book qualified meetings and demos for Account Executives
- Maintain high show-up rates and meeting-to-opportunity conversion
- CRM & Sales Tools
- Manage all activity in HubSpot (high proficiency required)
- Use Apollo and similar lead-generation tools for sourcing, enrichment, and sequencing
- Maintain clean, accurate CRM data
- Track outreach activity, responses, and outcomes consistently
- Performance & Optimization
- Hit or exceed daily and weekly activity targets (calls, emails, meetings booked)
- Test and refine messaging, objection handling, and call strategies
- Share feedback on what's working to improve outreach performance
Required Experience (Must-Have)
- 2+ years of experience as an SDR, BDR, or Appointment Setter
- Strong cold calling experience (phone-heavy role)
- Excellent cold email writing skills with proven response rates
- Hands-on experience with:
- HubSpot (required)
- Apollo.io (required)
- Other lead-generation tools (Outreach, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Proven ability to book meetings with decision-makers
- Clear, confident spoken and written English
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience selling B2B SaaS or fintech products
- Experience selling to financial advisors, RIAs, or financial services firms
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and social selling
- Experience working in a remote-first environment
