Job description
The SDR enables successful enterprise sales by primarily identifying, qualifying, and preparing EPR-obligated companies for complex, compliance-driven plastic credit engagements.
The role ensures that senior sales time is spent only on well-timed, high-quality, enterprise-ready opportunities.
This role is critical in navigating long procurement, legal, and supplier-qualification processes common to multinational and large local corporations.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
This role IS:
- A strategic, research-driven enterprise sales function
- Focused on compliance intelligence, timing, and stakeholder access
- A partner to the Closer, not a volume lead generator
This role is NOT:
- High-volume cold calling
- Email blasting
- Quota-carrying closing responsibility
Key Responsibilities
1. Target Account Identification & Prioritization
- Identify companies obligated under the Philippines EPR framework
- Build and maintain a prioritized target account list by:
- Industry exposure (FMCG, retail, manufacturing, importers)
- Estimated plastic footprint
- Regulatory and reputational risk
- Continuously refine account focus based on enforcement signals and market intelligence
2. EPR Intelligence & Deal Timing
- Track and monitor:
- EPR registration and reporting deadlines
- Public sustainability disclosures and ESG commitments
- Product launches or packaging changes affecting plastic footprint
- Identify why now triggers for outreach
- Prepare concise account briefs for the Closer outlining:
- Compliance risk
- Decision-maker landscape
- Recommended engagement approach
3. Stakeholder Mapping & Qualification
- Identify and engage key stakeholders across:
- Sustainability / ESG
- Legal / Compliance
- Procurement
- Corporate Affairs / Brand
- Qualify opportunities based on:
- Legal obligation under EPR
- Internal recognition of compliance risk
- Openness to third-party, traceable plastic credit solutions
- Ensure only enterprise-ready opportunities are passed to the Closer
4. Credible Market Engagement (Beyond Email)
- Engage prospects through:
- Personalized, insight-led outreach
- LinkedIn and professional networks
- Industry events, webinars, and associations
- Position Plastic Bank as:
- A credible compliance partner
- A traceability and audit-ready solution
- A risk-mitigation and brand-positive choice
5. Deal Support & Pipeline Momentum
- Support active deals by:
- Multi-threading stakeholders
- Managing follow-ups during legal and procurement reviews
- Sharing relevant materials (case studies, compliance explainers)
- Prevent deal stagnation during long internal review cycles
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline hygiene
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
- 25 years experience in:
- B2B enterprise sales development
- Compliance-driven or regulated industries (EPR, ESG, sustainability, finance, legal, procurement, supply chain)
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail and process discipline
- Ability to manage multiple long-cycle opportunities in parallel
