Role Overview
The IT Sales Development Representative supports business growth by promoting a range of IT and software solutions. This role focuses on prospecting, outbound sales, client engagement, and collaboration with internal technical and leadership teams. There is future potential to manage and grow client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and maintain a database of prospective business clients
- Continuously update knowledge of IT services, market trends, and competitor offerings
- Proactively reach out to prospective clients to identify and pursue sales opportunities
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions and services
- Promote IT services to both new and existing clients
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and support contract completion
- Coordinate with technical teams or management to align solutions and decision-making
- Provide regular sales updates and performance reports to the Sales Manager or Team Lead
- Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
- Prepare sales reports and track business-related expenses
- Manage, maintain, and grow CRM records
- Build or leverage an existing client list to conduct outbound sales and outreach
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
- Background or working knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, and software solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven influencing and sales skills
- Experience with client acquisition and relationship management
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
