The Retail Sales & Operations Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and managing day-to-day retail store activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can optimize store performance, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify new business opportunities and enhance product/service offerings.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize loyalty and retention.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Implement and maintain inventory control, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
- Monitor and manage key operational metrics such as sales per square foot, stock levels, and labor costs.
- Ensure health, safety, and security standards are met across the retail environment.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the retail team to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop training programs.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Customer Experience
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and resolve operational or service-related issues promptly.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the shopping experience and store efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management or operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales strategies, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in retail POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic data analytics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
