Job Description

The Retail Sales & Operations Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and managing day-to-day retail store activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can optimize store performance, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify new business opportunities and enhance product/service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize loyalty and retention.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
  • Monitor and manage key operational metrics such as sales per square foot, stock levels, and labor costs.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security standards are met across the retail environment.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the retail team to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop training programs.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve operational or service-related issues promptly.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the shopping experience and store efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management or operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales strategies, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in retail POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic data analytics.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
