Position Overview:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients while also identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the company's customer base. They serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring that products or services meet or exceed expectations. The role requires a blend of sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Advocacy:
- Build and maintaining client relations
- Work with internal departments such as the Marketing or Product teams to engage audiences and clients more deeply.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to help them achieve their business goals. Advocate for the client internally, ensuring their needs are understood and prioritized.
- Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times
Sales Strategy:
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies for penetrating new markets and expanding the customer base. Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
- Follow organizational policies and regulations that affect the Sales department
- Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities
Market Insights:
- Possess deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Use this knowledge to anticipate client needs and position the company's offerings effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Business Administration, Marketing or Management
- 2+ years of experience in sales or in any similar managerial role and environment.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Confident leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
