JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities and target markets for borkerage services.
2. Make initial customer contact through visits or calls
3. Identify each potential customer's logistics requirements
4. Formulate business proposals according to customers business needs
5. Negotiate prices and variations with shipping lines in order to meet target rate idea of customer
6. Build meaningful relationships within the company and customers
7. Ensure appropriate and timely delivery of shipments as advised to customers
8. Follow up on service and / or product once the delivery has been made
9. Research market trends and BOC updates.
10. Arrange meetings with potential clients
11. Ensure untapped customers will be reached and will try our brokerage services.
12. Record sales information and maintain customers records
13. Make rapid calculations of costs in order to provide quotations in an acceptable timeframe
14. Prepare weekly itinerary and sales reports by analyzing and summarizing information
15. Review sales performance with a view to improve it
16. Hitting monthly quota as specified by Management
17. Other ad-hoc duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor /degree holder of Business Administration major in Marketing, Customs Administration or any related course.
2. 3+ years of sales experience in logistics and forwarding.
3. Preferably with own accounts.
4. Excellent customer service and sales skills.
5. Strong verbal and written communicator.
6. Excellent phone and presentation skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
8. Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
