Functional Competency Requirement
- STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Develop specific category sales plan by Retail Environment (RE)in line with company strategy
- Manage the development of strategies and tactics to unlock category growth opportunities
- Co-Develop ABP (Annual Company Business Plan) covering Shoppers and Key Customers of specific categories per RE.
- Provide Category expertise to Modern Trade team to in planning category growth strategy with customer
- Safeguard promotion cost efficiency and ROI for Category Programs
- SHOPPER and RETAIL INSIGHT
- Manage the application of relevant shoppers insights, market data, and customer information in developing merchandising and promotional plans for the category
- Define the category standards in retail excellence (distribution, share of shelf, displays, pricing, promotions, etc) and monitors field sales performance against these standards.
- Development of POS materials to enhance merchandising
- COMMERCIAL PLANNING
- Actively drive together with the Commercial Team, the S&OP process and sets standard in collaborative planning, activation and tracking of category specific activities such as NPDs and Category Programs
- Revenue Management and ROI principles applied on all levels of category trade spent and management of resources
- Ensure at least 6 month price, promotional and activity programs in place, aligned with ABP and continuously improved through post analysis / ROI reviews
- Ensures that Sales teams have the clarity, resources and tools to execute brilliantly at specifi category and RE level
- IN-STORE EXECUTION
- Define the strategy for shopper activation covering in-store category and product placement, and leading, developing and managing MSL and assortment by RE and by Key customer
- Picture of Success in by RE leveraging shopper & category insight
- Activation, tracking and corrective action of Active Accounts, MSL, OSA, SOS and secondary placement in hotspots are in place
- Rolling 6 month activation grid in place for MT/GT teams as part of overall 12 month promotional plan
- Responsible for the selection of suppliers for POS materials and manpower based on category need
