Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Risk MIS and Model Risk Management Officer to become a key member of our Risk Management Team. This vital position involves managing the hands-on execution of our essential PFRS 9 / ECL credit risk models (Probability of Default, Loss Given Default, Exposure-at-Default), providing key inputs that inform the bank's financial reporting and risk insights. You will also be instrumental in supporting our Model Risk Management (MRM) framework by monitoring model performance, maintaining high-quality documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong quantitative skills looking to contribute meaningfully to sound risk practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the execution and ongoing monitoring of Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD) models according to PFRS 9/ECL requirements.
  • Implement data management controls for model inputs/outputs and develop effective risk reports and dashboards communicating model results and portfolio trends to stakeholders.
  • Track key performance indicators for model health, maintain comprehensive model documentation (purpose, assumptions, data, validation linkages), and report on compliance.
  • Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) to analyze model outputs, identify patterns, and provide insights supporting risk assessment and decision-making.
  • Support the Model Risk Management framework by maintaining clear and robust model documentation, assisting with compliance reviews, and adhering to established change control procedures.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data used for modeling (both inputs and outputs) and prepare insightful MIS reports and dashboards based on model results.
  • Assist the team with related risk analyses and special projects as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, IT).
  • Proficiency in R programming is mandatory for this role. Experience with other relevant tools such as SAS, Python, SQL, and data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is also highly beneficial.
  • Direct experience in executing, monitoring, or validating credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD), specifically under PFRS 9 / ECL, is preferred. However, strong developing professionals are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of credit risk modeling techniques, Model Risk Management (MRM) principles, PFRS 9/ECL standards, and related local banking regulations (e.g., MORB) is preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, controls, and data integrity.
  • Good communication skills for reporting observations and maintaining documentation.
