Senior electrical engineer will manage full electrical designs on projects of all sizes both as part of a team and as an individual. Including all calculations required. They will also be expected to act as a peer to peer checking within the group.
Full single line designs, including breaker sizing, cable sizing, coordination studies, + ARC flash. Also deal with any site related issues that design did not identify.
Containment sizing.
Underground layouts (ducts) including sizing and draw pit sizing.
Lightning protection designs.
Earthing designs.
Transformer specifications and sizing.
Busduct sizing.
NER specification and sizing.
Small power boards breaker sizing.
Complete relevant specifications, switchgear, small power, general electrical installation inc. equipment choice.
Be fully conversant with European codes. Being able to reference them as part of the interview process.
Scopes of work.
Mentor and develop the electrical engineers.
Conduct regular CPD's.
Electrical services.
Must be fully proficient with the following technical software, ETAP, AMTECH, DIALUX, CDEGS (including providing of certification proving all courses were attended). ATEX certification will also be required.
Fully proficient in excel, word etc.
Be able to use AUTOCAD ,REVIT BIM + BLUEBEAM.
Used to dealing with other teams i.e. process mechanical etc.
Requirements:
10 years min. in a similar design role.
Excellent communication skills.
Candidates must be fluent in English.
Be a team player, with a proven track record of successfully delivering electrical projects. Examples required.
B-Eng (honours degree) in electrical engineering (or electrical power systems). Master's in electrical engineering or power systems would be an added bonus.
