Job Description

Position Summary

The Retail Sales Head is responsible for leading and driving the overall performance of BPI MS's retail distribution business, encompassing both Bancassurance and Agency channels. This role sets the strategic direction, growth agenda, and execution priorities to deliver sustainable increases in new business, customer penetration, and profitability—anchored on a digital-first, customer-obsessed approach that puts customer needs and long-term relationships at the center of every decision.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Retail Sales Head oversees a multi-layered sales organization across the country, driving productivity, capability building, and a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, data-driven decision-making, and superior customer experience.

The role is accountable for maximizing the value of the bancassurance partnership with Bank of the Philippine Islands, including deepening integration with retail banking segments, enhancing frontline activation, and delivering seamless, needs-based insurance solutions across physical and digital channels.

Concurrently, the role leads the development and transformation of the Agency business by strengthening recruitment, elevating advisor productivity, and improving retention and professionalism – ensuring that advisors act as trusted partners to customers and consistently deliver suitable, high-quality advice. The Retail Sales Head ensures that both channels operate with strong discipline in sales management, digital enablement, and adherence to compliance and customer protection standards set by the Insurance Commission Philippines.

Ultimately, this role is accountable for delivering balanced growth across channels while building a resilient, scalable, and customer-centric distribution franchise that positions BPI MS as a trusted partner in helping Filipinos achieve financial security and peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Sales Growth & Revenue Delivery

  • Drive achievement of GPW, NPW, and revenue targets across channels while ensuring solutions are aligned to customer needs
  • Optimize product mix, campaigns, and digital lead generation/conversion funnels based on customer insights and behavior
  • Establish and monitor sales pipelines using data analytics to improve conversion and customer experience

Bancassurance Channel Performance & Partnership Management

  • Co-develop joint business plans with bank partners anchored on customer journeys, segment needs, and financial wellness outcomes
  • Drive branch and omnichannel activation (branch, mobile, online) to ensure consistent, convenient, and personalized customer experiences
  • Equip bank frontliners with tools and training to deliver needs-based, compliant, and customer-first advisory

Agency Force Growth, Productivity & Professionalization

  • Recruit and develop agents who embody customer-first behaviors and long-term relationship building
  • Improve productivity through CRM tools, structured sales journeys, and needs-based selling frameworks
  • Strengthen retention and professionalism by reinforcing ethical selling, customer outcomes, and advisory quality

Sales Excellence, Governance & Compliance

  • Enforce sales quality and customer suitability standards, ensuring products sold are appropriate and beneficial to customers
  • Implement digitized workflows, audit trails, and real-time dashboards to enhance transparency and accountability
  • Strengthen compliance and risk management through data-driven monitoring while safeguarding customer trust

Organizational Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead and develop leaders to embed customer obsession in decision-making, performance management, and daily behaviors
  • Foster a culture of data-driven insights, empathy, and continuous improvement of customer experience
  • Drive transformation initiatives including digital enablement, process simplification, and innovation in customer engagement models

Must-Have Qualifications

  1. Proven multi-channel insurance sales leadership
  2. Strong bancassurance experience
