Respiratory Therapist

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is directly responsible for providing age-appropriate and competent respiratory care in acute and critical care settings and the outpatient areas by rendering appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary case management that contributes to the overall patient outcomes.

What's The Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Ensuring coordination and the effective provision of patient care systematically and continuously through the collection and assessment of data to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care

- Verifying patient information prior to any lung procedure to prevent errors and possible adverse events

- Performing pulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with competence in discussing the purpose, indications, contraindications, risks, and complications to accurately assess lung function and capacity to be able to diagnose lung disorders and identify the best treatment option.

- Operating, initiating, and handling invasive and non-invasive equipment for patients who are experiencing respiratory distress, cardiopulmonary arrest, and other life-threatening conditions to improve patient breathing and regain normal lung function.

- Facilitating aerosol therapy to improve airway clearance

- Instructing proper initiation of handheld breathing devices to measure the volume of breath, monitor asthma, and promote airway clearance

- Acting on emergency response system or any urgent calls for assistance regarding airway management

Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) with PRC License / Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Philippines (RTRP) with at least six months of clinical experience in handling patients with pulmonary condition.
