As R&D Associate, you will be responsible for identifying process and system improvement within the plant. You are also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of automated systems in the plant.

Project Management

  • R&D Project Support and Management: Provides comprehensive support for all phases of R&D projects, from conception to completion. This includes assisting with project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and tracking progress against established timelines and budgets.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination and Alignment: Acts as a key liaison between the R&D department and various internal teams, including operations, engineering, marketing, and quality control. The associate is responsible for fostering seamless communication and collaboration to ensure that R&D projects are well-integrated with broader organizational objectives.
  • Prepare and present Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Reports: Prepare detailed CBA reports for both new machinery acquisitions and the continued operation of existing equipment.
  • Prepare and present Return on Investment (ROl) Reports: Generate comprehensive ROl reports to demonstrate the financial viability and profitability of equipment investments.

Process Improvement

  • Conducting gap analysis for current process and from the desired outcomeConduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze existing processes, workflows, and data to implement solutions that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Machine Testing and Automation

  • Conduct Thorough Testing and Validation: Implement comprehensive testing protocols for all proposed and newly acquired equipment. This includes performance testing, stress testing, compatibility testing with existing infrastructure, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document all test results and address any identified issues promptly.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from testing and multiple production runs
  • Prepares reports on research findings and presents data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilizes statistical tools and software to analyze data trends, correlations, and significance.
  • Translates statistical results into actionable insights, considering the broader context of research objectives.
  • Regularly reviews improvements and automation in terms of utilization and cost savings.

Compliance & Standard

  • Ensure all R&D activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintains detailed records of research methodologies, findings, and product specifications for future reference and patent purposes.
  • Creates technical specifications and collaborates on user and maintenance guides.
  • Prepares detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate progress and outcomes.

Collaboration

  • Working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners on automation projects.

Flexibility and Adaptability

  • Performs other tasks assigned by the immediate superior to contribute to achieving departmental goals.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to learn and develop new skills by adapting to changes and excelling in different situations
  • Adjusts plans and priorities to accommodate changes and unexpected situations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree related to Food Technology, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related course
  • At least 1 to 2 years of work experience as research and development, quality assurance in food manufacturing
  • Project Management Skills
  • Statistical Analysis Techniques
  • Knowledgeable in basic GMP, GDP and GWP

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full Time and On-Site in Paranaque, with occasional visits to supplier sites and cafe locations
