About The Role

The Rent Analyst supports the Global Rent Manager and Lease Administration team by ensuring accurate and timely updates of rent indexation in the lease administration database. This role is responsible for validating rent adjustments, maintaining data integrity, and assisting with routine reporting and compliance checks.

Key Objectives Of The Role

  • Validate rent indexation updates in the lease administration database.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of rent adjustments with lease agreements and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of rent schedules and indexation adjustments.

Other Accountabilities And Responsibilities


  • Assist in reconciling discrepancies in rent data and support periodic audits.
  • Perform advanced rent calculations such as CPI adjustments, percentage rent, rent escalations, and other rent review mechanisms in accordance with lease terms.
  • Monitor critical dates and ensure timely implementation of rent adjustments.
  • Generate routine reports on rent indexation activities and flag anomalies.
  • Respond to queries from internal teams regarding rent indexation and lease data.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and lease administration teams to ensure smooth rent update processes.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of rent indexation updates.
  • Ensure all indexation adjustments comply with lease agreements and internal policies.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all indexation changes in the lease administration database.

Minimum Qualifications


  • 3+ years in property accounting or lease administration
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of lease agreements and rent indexation principles.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • 7+ years in tenant-side property accounting with experience in lease administration
  • Experience in a property, lease administration, or finance support role.
  • Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with lease administration software
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), or equivalent accounting certification.
