Summary of the Role:
The Remote Paid Media Specialist turns Pet Awesome's brand, marketing and advertising strategies into profitable e-commerce sales. You will collaborate and iterate closely with our CEO and project manager to drive revenue expansion across Shopify, Amazon, and social platforms curating and utilizing existing media assets, creating better ones, and scaling winners.
You will coordinate and align with our project manager and key internal stakeholders to define deliverables, timelines, and ensure outcomes align with company goals. Collaboration will typically take place over Slack and Zoom video meetings with cameras on and occasional screen sharing when needed.
Once the goals are set, you will take ownership of executing the work and will be responsible for delivering results within the agreed-upon parameters and timelines.
Knowledge transfer, transparency, and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders will be a critical part of your work to ensure we can collaborate effectively with you and participate seamlessly as needed.
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: 600 to 900 PHP Per Hour
- No Benefits: This is an independent contractor role; therefore, no additional benefits are provided.
Work Schedule & Availability:
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 5-15 hours per week based on company needs.
- Flexible Hours: Structure your workday and week as you see fit, while ensuring successful outcomes and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Meetings & Communication: Meetings are conducted over Zoom and asynchronous communications over Slack. Coordinate with internal stakeholders for overlapping Zoom meeting availability on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize Profitable Ad Sales: Explore, test, iterate on media assets, platforms, campaigns, and overall advertising activity to maximize profitable ad sales within target thresholds and inventory constraints.
- Content Library Curation: Develop, curate, organize, optimize new and existing media assets to support organic and paid advertising and brand marketing strategies driving long term profitability.
- Campaign build & optimization: With an initial focus on Meta, structure accounts, launch campaigns, manage bids/budget pacing, audience/keyword strategy, placements, exclusions, and creative/copy variants. Kill losers fast; scale winners. Explore, identify, test and prioritize new platform features and capabilities that show promise.
- Creative testing engine: Turn insights into briefs, source/curate media where needed, perform A/B tests and systematically experiment and iterate on key drivers such as: hooks, angles, offers, and formats that convert our core demo. Maintain a living log of hypotheses and results.
- Build out secondary channels: Stand up, test, and, when justified by ROI, scale additional platforms (Google, TikTok, Amazon Ads, and other applicable channels). Start with lean pilots, prove unit economics, then expand.
- Analytics & Reporting: Develop & deliver structured, organized and insightful analytics in collaboration with our data analyst to provide data-driven recommendations which map to evolving strategic priorities and KPIs. Proactively resolve tracking issues and attribution noise.
- Platform Compliance: Ensure all strategies, management and execution comply with platforms evolving implicit and explicit best practices and policies such as TOS, ensuring full account functionality is maintained and shadowbanning, suppression, and other algorithmic negative consequences are prevented.
- Collaborative Documentation Development: Develop various forms of documentation including SOPs, video demonstrations, tutorials, playbooks and guidelines in collaboration with the Operations team to ensure comprehensive knowledge capture and accessibility to facilitate seamless handoffs so stakeholders can utilize your deliverables and scale your work.
Requirements:
MANDATORY:
Experience/Background:
- 2+ years Meta DTC Profitability: managing paidmedia for DTC ecommerce brands, with a deep track record of driving profitable Shopify sales via Meta targeting at least one developed market (US, CA, UK, EU, AU, etc.).
- 2+ years cumulative in 2 other media buying platforms. Examples include: Google Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube, Pinterest Ads, Amazon Advertising, etc.
- 1+ year - LLM Usage: Utilized any LLM model: Chat GPT, Gemini, etc. in real business contexts applied to any of the Experience/Background under mandatory, preferred and nice to have sections.
Tools/Skills:
- Meta Ads Manager (advanced): Campaign structuring, Advantage+ features, Experiments, breakdown analysis, learningphase management, Events Manager diagnostics.
- Shopify: Admin proficiency for pixels/CAPI integrations, discounts/promos, sales channels, basic theme settings, and QA of CRO changes.
- GA4: Event/conversion configuration, Explorations, funnels, attribution settings, and crosssource reconciliation.
- Spreadsheet proficiency: Can build and report KPIs and relevant analytics and utilize intermediate functionality and formulas such as pivot tables, SUMIFS, LOOKUPs, etc.
PREFERRED:
Experience/Background:
- 1+ year - Remote Startup Experience: Worked with a small team remotely in a <20-person company in a low-structure environment.
- 1+ years in one of the following:
- Partnerships & Influencer/Affiliate Ops managing, sourcing, contracting, briefing, tracking, payouts, performance analysis.
- CRO landing/PDP tests, offer/bundle/upsell structures, hypothesis logs, measurable CVR lift.
- Ecommerce Operations (Shopify/Amazon ops) product feeds, PDP governance, promos/pricing, reviews/UGC, rank/share stewardship.
- Marketing campaign strategy, positioning & messaging, channel/content calendars, promo calendars, launch planning, brandvoice stewardship, creative briefs & copy review.
- Design / video basics: Figma/Canva; Premiere Pro/CapCut for shortform edits.
- Tools/Skills:
- Design / video editing: Figma/Canva; Premiere Pro/CapCut for designs and shortform edits.
- Work-Management Platform: Proficient in ClickUp or a comparable tool (e.g., Asana, Monday, Jira, etc.).

- 1+ years in one of the following:
- Finance & Unit Economics breakeven CPA, promo P&Ls, SKUlevel margin, cashflowaware pacing, inventoryspend guardrails.
- Data Analytics GA4, CAPI/serverside, UTMs, event mapping & QA, dashboards, reconciliation, test readouts.
- Tools/Skills:
- Klaviyo (or equivalent): Comfortable coordinating with lifecycle teams; can set UTMs, suppressions, and spot listhealth issues.
- Looker Studio or similar: Lightweight dashboards pulling platform + GA4 + Sheet inputs; clear weekly/period views.
